What does a website cost for a small business?
At Nordic Web Agency, a finished website starts at NOK 9,900 excl. VAT. A website where I write the text and make you visible on Google starts at NOK 15,900, and the whole business with logo, business cards, website and AI assistant at NOK 29,900. You see the website finished before you pay anything.
What decides the price of a website?
The price depends on how much is to be made, and on how much you do yourself. These things matter most:
- Number of pages. A front page with services and contact is quick to do. Separate pages for each service, projects and FAQ take more time.
- Who writes the text. If you have text and images ready, it goes quickly. If someone has to interview you and write everything, that is a separate job.
- Languages. Each extra language is a new version of all the pages.
- Visibility on Google. Local SEO, page titles, structured data and Google Business Profile make customers in your area find you.
- Logo and brand guidelines. If the website is to be built around a completely new identity, logo, colours and typography come first.
- Special requests. A custom 3D experience is a different kind of job from an ordinary website.

What does it cost after the website is live?
For the first three months I adjust text and images for free, and errors in what I’ve built are always fixed at no extra cost. After that, hosting costs NOK 399 a month, or NOK 4,389 a year, where one month is free. Maintenance is optional and costs NOK 799 a month for those who want me to look after it on an ongoing basis.
How you pay
It costs NOK 0 when we start. Then come two invoices, half each: 50% once you’ve approved the design, and 50% before the website goes live.
Five questions to ask a web agency before you order
- Do I get to see the website finished before I pay?
- Who owns the website and the content when it’s finished?
- What does it cost per month after the website is live?
- Who writes the text, and how many rounds of changes are included?
- What is included in the price, and what are extras?
The answers to these questions say more about the real price than the number on the quote.
